PROJECT DETAILS: Created for my certificate course. This logo was created for a made-up travel agency in my Social Media Marketing class (read more about my social media skills). The logo was to be used as new branding for their social sites, hence my company "Travel Adventures" was born.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS: I'm very familiar with social media platforms, and our class was focused on using Instagram and Facebook. I was able to quickly look up the suggested sizes of profile photos for these sites and created my logo as a scaleable vector graphic in order to size to fit without loosing too many details in the process. I picked an older Volkswagen Bug as my vehicle of choice with a hard shell travel case on the roof to convey that travel feeling. I loved road trips as a kid and have fond memories that I tapped into when working on this logo design.
The logo was immediately adored and I set it as my profile photo for both social networks. Afterwards, text was added based on feedback and suggestions from my peers in class. Although the text doesn't show in the profile photo, it was used in other ways such as cover images, photo watermarks, and a video. Overall, this logo was easy to create and easy to implement where needed.
SKILLS/PROGRAMS USED: Original stock car image provided by Britannica Image Quest, then redrawn in Adobe Illustrator via trackpad.
